Scismic is supporting the growth of a biotech company in Woburn, MA that is working on a cure for kidney failure! They are leveraging stem cell biology and tissue engineering to create living therapeutics.

Job Responsibilities
As our Business Development and Operations Associate, you’ll wear a few hats. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to fundraising efforts, developing strategic partnerships, creating/building those partnerships, and PR work. In parallel, you will be assisting the CEO and our research team in managing our internal operations to optimize research and development efficiency. There is an expectation of immediate hard work and diligence, and an opportunity to shape the future of the business. In order to effectively do this, the job requires:
- The ability to identify, reach out to, and partner with potential strategic and financial partners to drive investment and revenue
- To engage in collaborative business environment to determine best practices, strategies and execution to meet company needs
- The ability to seek out non dilutive funding opportunities (e.g. government and foundation grants), and assist in necessary applications and filings
- Act as a representative of the company at trade shows and conferences and liaise for the company to understand current and future product offerings and build upon past successes
- Contribute to the company's Business Strategy, building future Commercial, Marketing and Product Management teams
Education and experience
- Minimum of BS in Life Sciences, a BS or Masters degree in business administration or finance is a plus.
- Experience with cell therapy and/or biologics a plus
- Operations experience a plus
- Ability to develop and build rapport, collaboration and influence at all levels within an organization
- Strong communication skills and the versatility to connect effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including lab directors, scientists, team project leaders and executives
- Strong self-starter approach
