Scismic is supporting the growth of a biotech company that is developing transformative therapies for solid cancers.

We are seeking a Scientist to support our ongoing antibody‐drug conjugate (ADC) discovery projects in the division of analytics as well as supporting antibody purification and characterization. Major responsibilities include (1) LC‐MS for drug to antibody ratio (DAR) analysis of ADCs and LC‐MS/MS for antibody/peptide mapping, (2) antibody/ADC characterization via analytic HPLC (HIC‐, SEC‐, reverse phase, etc), (3) antibody/ADC purification and polish via FPLC and TFF. The ideal candidate will need to have hands‐on experience working with antibodies, and a deep knowledge of HPLC, LC‐MS/MS analytics, and FPLC purification that bridges organic chemistry and biochemistry. Experience with bioconjugation of antibodies is a plus. Creativity, communication, and problem‐solving skills are essential within this team‐focused environment. Responsibilities: 

  • Execute standard analytics of antibodies that are conjugated with diverse payload modalities.
  • Design and supervise experiments conducted at contract research organizations (CROs) and with academic collaborators.
  • Perform antibody purification, characterization, and endotoxin removal. 

Requirements: 

  • Masters or PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related discipline 
  • Proficiency in antibody, ADC bioanalysis, or protein analysis required
  • Must-have skills: HPLC & Mass Spectrometry 
  • Nice-to-have skills: SEC, HIC, IEX, FPLC (BioRad NGC or Akta) based protein purification.
  • At least 3 years of hands‐on experience working with antibodies; ADC experience with chemical or enzymatic bioconjugation is a plus.
