Scismic is supporting the growth of a biotech company that is developing tools for in vitro and in vivo research with RNAi and CRISPR/Cas genome editing for animal model creations as well as pre-clinical drug discovery development.

We are looking for a Clinical Lab Scientist. The candidate is an experienced lab-based scientist with direct experience (at least a year) in medical/diagnostic equipment research and development. Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills are essential. The incumbent will work collaboratively with other team members to accomplish project goals and milestones.

● Design, develop, and test all aspects of medical/surgical components, equipment, and instruments.

● Work with cross-functional teams to test prototypes.

● Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.

● Perform independent research.

● Report research findings through scientific publication, oral presentation, and formal documents with regard to industry contracts and funded grant proposals.

● PhD in biomedical engineering, or biochemistry, or chemistry, or chemical engineering. or a related field with 3+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience

● Direct experience (at least a year) in medical/diagnostic equipment research and development.
