Scismic is supporting the growth of a neurotechnology company that is well known for having knowledgeable and energetic Field Scientific Consultants to support our customers and ensure their scientific success using our products. They are looking to hire someone to partner with customers located in the Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).  As our Field Scientific Consultant in the EMEA, you'll provide post-sales training and scientific consultation on experimental design and data analysis for our customers based in the Western Europe.  You will accelerate project success and progression to publication, plus offer technical advice to additional scientists.  If you enjoy being in a customer facing role, giving guidance to neuroscientists, and like working for a collaborative team, this could be the right role for you.  

Here's more about what you'll doing: 

  • Partner with sales team on technical presentations/seminars in the efforts to reach commercial team goals and increase awareness of company solutions
  • Bring customer ideas and challenges into Product Development strategy and priorities
  • Demonstrate customer commitment through frequent and regular engagement with customers and executing timely complaint resolution
  • Supporting other regions as needed on collaborations with the broader team
Requirements:

  • PhD in Neuroscience or closely related field in the Biological Sciences
  • Expertise with in vivo calcium imaging (1P or 2P), fiber photometry, in vivo electrophysiology and/or optogenetics OR experience with company products
  • Python and/or Matlab coding experience is a significant plus
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and within a team-centric environment
  • Enjoys being an advocate for customers and being patient as they learn our products
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills, with experience presenting technical topics in academia and industry environments
  • Ability and interest to travel at least 50%
  • Demonstrated ability to publish in peer reviewed scientific journals
  • Remote position based in the EMEA preferred locations
  • Must be COVID-19 vaccinated in accordance with our policy around contagious diseases
