Scismic is supporting the growth of an early-stage San Francisco biotechnology company pioneering a truly human approach to antibody drug discovery and development. 

We are seeking a creative scientist to lead the company's efforts in antibody expression and characterization. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing platforms for expression, purification, and characterization of antibody therapeutic candidates. This individual will possess a deep understanding of antibody expression systems, including transient expression, CHO cell line development, and small-scale cell-free expression and functional screening assays. Furthermore, the candidate will lead efforts in development of antibody purification and characterization pipelines (affinity, epitope binning, stability, pI determination, etc).

From a strong foundation in antibody production and characterization, we expect this candidate to be creative and ambitious in conceiving new ways to streamline, parallelize, and scale up these processes, and to integrate antibody production and characterization with upstream discovery and selection. The ideal candidate will also be excited to wear many hats and pitch in where needed, and teach and learn at every opportunity.
