The Structural Biology group is looking for a strong, enthusiastic candidate to join our team and make an immediate impact on high priority targets critical to our mission. It is critical to our company's mission to determine structural features of our RNA targets and to identify druggable RNA structural motifs. The successful candidate will support all aspects of drug discovery by interrogating RNA structure with biomolecular NMR spectroscopy and other structural approaches. This role will interface with consultants and contractors and collaborate across disciplines within the company. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced start-up environment, leveraging a high degree of integrity, intelligence and innovation to make a large impact on our mission.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide biomolecular NMR expertise in RNA structure characterization and targeted small molecule drug discovery
  • Design RNA constructs and isotope labeling schemes for structural and biophysical characterization
  • Develop and implement NMR experiments to probe and characterize the structure, dynamics and interactions of RNA and small molecules ligands
  • Validate and characterize lead compounds using ligand- and RNA-observed NMR methods
  • Operate and support maintenance of NMR spectrometer
  • Work effectively in a cross-functional capacity with other biophysicists, medicinal chemists, RNA biochemists, and structural biologists to deliver high-quality results and address specific project needs and challenges
  • Maintain scientific and technical expertise through familiarity with scientific literature and attending conferences
